Driver 10926, 1st Pontoon Park, Royal Engineers. Died of illness 22/11/1918.

 

Born Oct 1884 in Felixstowe the son of John Scrivener Studd & Sarah Jane nee Soanes. In 1907 William married Dora Ellen Hearn & in 1911 they lived at 73 Chapel Lane Walton with two children William and Eileen, they had a further three sons Robert, Montague & Rowland. 

 

Sadly William died of pneumonia shortly after the end of the war while still on active service in France. Buried at Caudry British Cemetery.

Their son Robert 5833656, Suffolk Regiment died 19/05/1944 while serving in Burma.
