Lance Corporal 5825260, 1st Battalion, Suffolk Regiment. Died 30/05/1940. Age 28.

 

Born 14th March 1912, the youngest of five children & only son of Charles Henry Jolly and Susannah (Susie) nee Punt. Charles, a miller's foreman, and family were living at 3 Osborne Terrace, Langer Road, Felixstowe. His mother died when Reginald was 8 years old & his father in 1938. Reginald married Alice Maud Eley in 1939 and she remained living with her parents in Ipswich, their daughter Betty was born in 1940. Reginald's eldest sister, Ida, was still living in Felixstowe at 9 St Andrews Road in 1939.
