Born in London in 1919, the youngest of three children & only son of Frank Palmer and Elsie May nee Buckels. By 1939 the family were living at 31 Church Road, Felixstowe with Frank working as a fitter's labourer.
Lost on board SS Scillin when she was sunk by a Royal Navy Submarine HMS Sahib off the coast of Tunisia. Commemorated on the Alamein Memorial.
